Warm Seasons Greetings—Happy New Year 2025!
Join us and make your voice heard!
Dear Responsible Leaders,
"Adversity is a true measure of our character—do we have it within us to rise from the ashes like the phoenix, for that is what we must do again and again"!
As we near the end of another transformative year, I find myself filled with deep gratitude and hope for what lies ahead. This season of reflection gives us the chance to pause, reconnect with each other, and recommit ourselves to the values that unite us all. Warmest wishes to you for a joyous festive season—Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, a joyful Hanukkah, and blessings for all sacred traditions. May this time bring peace, renewal, and inspiration to you and your loved ones.
This year has been a profound reminder of the power of our shared humanity. We’ve faced unprecedented challenges: from the devastating effects of natural disasters to the political transitions that shaped 64 nations. The elections this year highlight the immense responsibility we all carry in creating a more just, compassionate world. As Louis Brandeis so wisely said, “In a democracy, the highest office is the office of the citizen.”
But even as we celebrate the strides we’ve made together, we must confront our most pressing challenge—climate change. Its devastating effects are more visible than ever, threatening lives, communities, and the very future of our planet. Our initiative, Clean Water for All, represents a vital step toward sustainable peace, but we must summon even greater resolve as we move forward.
Reflecting on the 25 years since the Millennium Summit, I am reminded of the extraordinary power of unity. In a world too often divided by hatred, we must reaffirm our commitment to understanding, tolerance, and love—No More Hate! As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Looking ahead to the new year, I encourage all of us to approach it with courage and compassion. Let us listen deeply, speak boldly, and act decisively as we tackle the challenges that lie ahead. As E.E. Cummings said, “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”
The Centre for Responsible Leadership is here as your platform—a space for dialogue, collaboration, and meaningful action. Together, we can amplify our impact and inspire others to join us in shaping the world we wish to see.
May this festive season light a renewed sense of purpose in each of us. As we enter the New Year, let’s resolve to protect our planet, heal the divisions that tear us apart, and cultivate true lasting peace—one small action at a time.
"Act with Conviction, not Convenience"!
With heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes,
Bawa Jain
