David Harris joins Bawa Jain in an important conversation on civility, Israel, fighting hatred and hope.
David Harris, a lifelong Jewish activist, led American Jewish Committee (AJC), which has been described by the New York Times as the “dean of American Jewish organizations,” from 1990-2022. He was referred to by the late Israeli President Shimon Peres as the “foreign minister of the Jewish people.” Harris has been honored more than 20 times by foreign governments for his international work, making him the most decorated American Jewish organizational leader in U.S. history. Educated at the University of Pennsylvania and London School of Economics, he has been a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins University and Oxford University.
Bawa Jain is a visionary leader in the interfaith movement and a pioneer of religious diplomacy. After working closely on the Millennium World Peace Summit with the office of the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Jain committed his life to finding ways that the worldwide religious and spiritual communities can work together as interfaith allies with the United Nations on specific peace, poverty and environmental initiatives.
